One of the differences we've noticed over here is the lack of places offering Petit Dejeuner (breakfast). Whether in Paris or a little country village, it can be hard work tracking down that elusive little menu.
Lyon was no exception.
Wandering the wet and cold streets for what seemed like an eternity, we finally found somewhere serving something more than a morning cafe.
With a 3 hour drive ahead of us, we were hoping for something more substantial than the usual croissant, and this sweet little cafe well and truly delivered. They went out of their way offering eggs any which way we wanted along with our croissant avec de la cofiture, freshly squeezed jus d'orange and a grand cafe au lait.
The elderly gentleman sitting next to us downed 2 red wines whilst we sipped our coffee.
Hmmm....maybe that's the answer to our petit dejeuner problem?!
