No you're not mistaken, these are indeed little individual cheesecakes, or as I like to call them, heaven in a muffin wrapper.
And would you believe me if I said there was no fructose in sight?!
Crunchy Nut Cheesecake
As you can see, I didn't make a whole cheesecake as the recipe states above, however the quantity of ingredients listed made 24 muffin sized mini cakes instead. (Thought this might stop me eating such huge slices!)
I've always had somewhat of a sweet tooth, although I wouldn't say I was a big dessert eater.
It wasn't until I took a bite of this fluffy pillow of cheesy goodness, and the fact that it wasn't dripping in sickly sweetness that I realised that this was the reason why. It's taken way too many years for that penny to finally drop.
To me, this is how a real cheesecake should taste.
