Afternoon Tea and a Pumpkin Tart

One of my many favourite things to do in life is indulge in afternoon tea with friends.

I often find thinking, planning and making the food for the day just as much fun as the actual get-together.  Is that a little sad to admit?

Friends, flowers, food and fabulous wine - what more could you want.

One of the dishes I made was this delicious savoury tart stuffed full of caramelised pumpkin topped with buttery, garlic mushrooms.  With its crumbly light pastry crust and its fluffy filing, I fell in love with it after the first bite.

Whether you serve it warm or at room temperature, I think you will also fall in love with it!
